Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of the Handy Calculations app (the "App"), provided by Randy Wood ("I", "me"). By downloading or using the App you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.
License
I grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on devices you own or control, subject to the terms of the store you got it from: Apple's Media Services Terms and the App Store usage rules if you use the iPhone or iPad version, or the Google Play Terms of Service if you use the Android version. You may not copy, modify, resell, or reverse engineer the App, or remove any notices from it.
Subscription
Some features of the App require a paid subscription, "Handy Calculations Pro" (the "Subscription"). The following applies:
- The Subscription is billed monthly. The price and included features are shown in the App before you buy.
- The Subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel it as described below.
- Deleting the App does not cancel a Subscription.
- I may change the price in the future. Apple or Google will notify you of a price increase, and will ask for your consent before it takes effect where required.
- A Subscription bought through one store does not carry over to the other. A subscriber on both iPhone or iPad and Android pays for each separately.
- A free tier of calculators and reference tables is available without a Subscription. The selection of free and paid features may change over time.
iPhone and iPad (Apple App Store)
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- The Subscription renews at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Manage or cancel the Subscription at any time in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. Requests can be made at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Android (Google Play)
- Payment is charged to your Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- The Subscription renews each month at the price shown unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Manage or cancel the Subscription at any time in the Google Play app under your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Refunds are handled under Google Play's policies. See Google Play's refund information.
Reference only — no warranty on results
The App is a convenience calculator and reference. It is not engineering, safety, or professional advice. Calculations and tables may contain errors or may not fit your equipment, conditions, or the manufacturer's current specifications. You are responsible for verifying any result against authoritative sources before relying on it for operational, safety, or financial decisions.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from your use of the App or from reliance on its results, and my total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim.
Trademarks
Product and company names mentioned in the App's reference tables belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify products. The App is not affiliated with or endorsed by those owners.
Privacy
The App itself doesn't collect your personal data. Apple and Google handle purchases. See the Privacy Policy.
Changes
I may update these terms. The current version will always be at this page, with its effective date above. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
